Tajpur Beachscape - Daddy's Girl

Tajpur Beachscape - Daddys Girl
No guys, these photos are not from my old Tajpur beach archive. Last weekend I made a quick half day trip to Tajpur Beach with a colleague and his guest. The weather was pretty dull and expecting some magical reflection of the afternoon sky on the wet sand was nothing less than daydreaming. Other than walking through the knee-high water and munching a couple of hard-fried Pomfrets, I clicked few photos too. In an overcast day landscape photography is not so rewarding and compels you to look out for living subjects. Well, I am quite a bit apprehensive to click strangers. I mostly depend on children but when their guardians return neutral expression ("This man could be a pedophile" type look) to my smile I take it as their disapproval and move away. After all, pollution is taking its toll not just on environment but on human thought process too! Girls are usually more attached to their dads. When you're wandering alone you tend to watch what others are doing around you. For more than half an hour this father (I'm 95% sure about the relation and it can only be confirmed if either of these subjects ever visit my photo blog and bother to leave a comment) was confronting with timid waves of the Bay of Bengal while securing his daughter comfortably over his shoulders. I don't know how much this daddy's girl enjoyed the dry sea-bathing but not even for once I could spot her smiling. Either the little princess was scared of the mildly roaring sea or, she belongs to that group of children who seldom smile. Doesn't she have extremely mature eyes for her tender age? After this daddy's girl I'll return with photos of a moody princess in my next photo post.

  2. I only hope they are a father-daughter duo. Somehow, she looks vaguely sad or afraid. Looking forward to you next photo post, Anunoy.

  6. Such a natural picture, I wonder what she is thinking. She is too young to be that serious.
