Like me, perhaps many of you had aspired to be a balloon seller when you were a kid. Our 'just formed' eyes used to get dazzled by vibrant colors of their balloons but failed to catch those cracks down their soles, tan over their skin and never-ending creeks of poverty sticking to their fortune. Ah, what a relief I didn't grow up to become that balloon or ice-cream seller of my childhood fantasy! This photo post on a balloon seller is not to portray his life of hardship which we all know, but to salute those nameless balloon sellers over all busy streets, happening fair grounds, playful parks or far outside posh supermarkets who trade a lot of joy to our children for too little money in return. By inflating balloons throughout their lives the only thing they gain is- better lung function. These balloon sellers made you happy when you were a kid and now they're repeating the same with your kid. So, if possible be kind with them and do not go for unnecessary bargaining. Oh, I think I missed to mention that I met this busy balloon seller over the Swargadwar Beach of Puri who was preparing his balloons for the evening sale.
