Himalayan Shades

Himalayan Shades

Let's highlight some Himalayan facts to boost up your general knowledge. Himalaya is a mountain range comprising more than a hundred 7000+ meters mountains in South Asia, separating the plains of the Indian subcontinent from the Tibetan Plateau. Himalaya is bordered on the northwest by the Karakorum and Hindu Kush ranges, on the north by the Tibetan Plateau and on the south by the Indo-Gangetic Plain, crossing five countries on its royal way namely India, Nepal, Bhutan, China and Pakistan. Although geologically Himalaya is among the youngest mountain ranges on the planet, three of the world's major rivers rise in the Himalaya and it's also the third largest ice/snow depot, ranking just after crazy polar regions! I know these are all about facts and theories... Himalaya is certainly much more than that... It's the muse of million artists, lure for billion nomads and for me, if heaven exists, Himalaya is the only stairway... If there's no God, no heaven I don't mind, there's Himalaya calling me with her Himalayan shades.
