My old, much adored point and shooter mate- Yashica MF-2 Super DX Kyocera still stands tall with its fixed focus Yashica 38mm 1:3.8 lens! I remember buying film rolls mostly of Kodak, Fujifilm or Konica. In a single roll my Yashica could capture around 33-35 photos and 2 AA batteries were usually enough for the purpose. I owe her for the love of photography I developed since my tender boyhood. Doesn't she look elegant in black and white?

I'm sure it was pleasant for you :)
DeleteHi! just wanna ask, I also have the same camera as yours but it seems like it has (very) few web like particles inside the "peeping" lens (sorry i'm not really familiar with photography words haha). other than that, the flash still works . I wonder if I should still use it or not
ReplyDeleteOh Dianne, I'm really afraid that most likely those "web like particles" are fungal infiltration inside your camera and if you do not rush to a camera servicing center, those apparently innocent looking things shall totally conquer your old Yashica and ruin it. :-(

Deletelast week I went to a camera store, they only sell cameras, films, and such and they don't really provide those kind of services. My mom told me to "just take risk and try if it'd still work" so i bought a superia 200 film and started using it for a few days now. Would it ruin my film/photos? :(

ReplyDeleteThat we'll come to know as soon as you develop that film. Anyway, our concern is more with the camera sensor. Hope it survives the fungal attack. Amen :-)
DeleteHey I also have one of these and I am thinking it. How much do you think will
ReplyDeleteI get after selling it?

Hi...
ReplyDeleteI was cleaning my late dads stuff and found his old camera... before he die i told that about his camera where we can find the justice for but we don't mind it before... as i check the camera there is a film inside I was wonder If it can be print? Never been open since his death and it almost 12 years now. I know the rule about film... but I dont know the life span of it
And as of today I wanted to use his camera I was wondering if I can put some lens on it?
